Kevin James stars as everyman Doug Heffernan, a denizen of Queens, New York, who works as a parcel delivery driver by day and parcels out his views on life, work and marriage when he arrives home at night. Doug likes to think he is king of his two-story, one family brick castle. His sanctuary is the garage that houses his prized possession - a 70-inch television, a gift from his loving wife Carrie (Leah Remini). But, the walls to Doug’s castle are closing in, as Carrie’s twice-widowed father Arthur (Jerry Stiller), who lives in the basement, emerges every day with either a new complaint, get-rich-quick scheme or the latest bulletin on his various bodily functions.
Doug and Carrie cling to their loving relationship to get them through, while trying to find privacy and peace in a house with an active senior citizen.
Series co-stars include: Patton Oswalt, Larry Romano and Victor Williams.
